Splendid village pub with good variety of real ale and food, very friendly staff and locals who make strangers feel welcome. Many pubs in this area are becoming poncey restaurants, but not the Blacksmiths. beer_finder_general - 30 Nov 2006 08:38
Delightful family run country inn.The atmosphere is cosy, the food exceptionally good but most importantly there are three or four real ales on offer mostly from local Cumbrian breweries.Only about three miles from Brampton (A69)and close to Talkin Tarn beauty spot.I suggest a stroll around the tarn followed by a pint or two and a good pub lunch. prof. - 29 Nov 2006 16:26
Great, homely country pub with restaurant. Always busy -- great food. Robin - 9 Jul 2005 22:53
