Looking for a redcoration but, none the less very busy on my visit and, my otter ale was in good nick, noticed several neals come out pub grub pie & chips fish & and chips but all looked well cooked and smelt appetising. Only downfall is the hike upstairs for the toilets. And the people that insist on hogging the bar when things are busy. james55westhead - 16 Apr 2012 05:38
Pub has been redecorated & is much improved. I have had a good pint of Youngs "Ordinary" most Friday evenings for the last 3 months. Food seems to be getting busier!! dorsettyke - 30 Sep 2011 16:24
For the past month this pub has stank of vomit, why they do not do something about it I do not know. Beer exspensive and food I find to be good. varg - 12 May 2011 11:20
Steady on BeerEnthusiast, it's not that bad and I was in there just a couple of days before you. The back room is definitely a bit grubby but the rest of the pub looks (and smells) fine, there were no dogs in there either. As it's still in the GBG I assume my experience of my last visit was a rarity but, if I go back to Shaftesbury I will use the Two Brewers at the bottom of Gold Hill. Nigethebeer - 1 Apr 2011 15:18
This is a truly awful pub. Everything looks filthy, everywhere. The furniture is jumble sale rubbish etc. Dogs are encouraged; seem to have free reign, and the whole place stinks of dogs. This s a place that would benefit from closing and is a must to avoid until it is clean and properly managed. BeerEnthusiast - 8 Mar 2011 09:54
