| Visited on a Friday evening. It was empty but for about 05 others. No bitter on - had to drink Guinness and left after the one. Maybe we visited between rushes? 90mile - 9 Nov 2007 16:57 |
| No ziggy, surely some mistake. Or there's something right with half the pub with chairs upturned, and the other half with two blokes, not talking, and the barmaid the life & soul. I walked in through the door at the upturned half (bugger!) and "Oh Dear, Here's a New One". That's OK, but I honestly wanted her to stay where she was and allow me to pull my own pint, because I totally ruined the atmosphere. I like a quiet pub, but I can think of most pubs better than this one, quiet or not. | Great beer, great people, superb pool table. spent a good few hours in this pub while visiting a friend. Even considering moving to Surbiton to be closer to this boozer. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a good session and a good laugh. They will be doing food starting in a couple of weeks. Shellfish already available, bought fresh from Billingsgate. | This pub has greatly improved of late (the pikies and druggies have been booted out for a start!)... It's got a wide ranch of beers and whiskeys now :-) and has a 42" plasma screen. Michael - 3 Jun 2004 12:45 |
