Lovely unspoilt rural pub. We arrived early on a Saturday lunchtime and the place was almost deserted; by the time we'd finished our lunch the barman had been joined by a dozen locals, all of whom were obviously regulars. The menu isn't extensive, but what we had was delicious. The soup and baguettes were generous, tasty and excellent value for money. Can't comment on the beer I'm afraid!

This is an unspoilt little country pub standing all on its own down a little lane in Sussex. Went there after a walk and had a fantastic roast pork, which at £8.50 was good value. The Harveys was excellent and was served by a gorgeous barmaid. What could be better?

Dogs are welcome. The resident Patterdale Terrier is deaf and will help you finish off your scraps if you dont mind him.

The pub has a local clientelle as well as an eating area, so it ticks all the boxes and I wish it was my local. Definitelt a 10/10.

Good little country pub that has a cricket pitch behind it,so in summer you can buy a pint and go watch a bit of Owzaaat!Up until the end of last year they had live music occasionally on fridays which was great, although a small boozer regulars would get up and dance and the atmosphere was great.I don't know why they stopped it.Food is pretty good although I had a sunday lunch there once which was disappointing...red cabbage and raisons....eeeughh!
