Return visit to try the food and it was excellent. The curry was perhaps the best I've had in a pub and my partner's soup was superb and great value. Only downside is the pricey beer - a probable consequence of it being an Enterprise house.

Under new management and massively improved after several years in the doldrums. Good range of ales from the likes of Andwell & Langham including a dark beer (Andwell Porter). Deservedly popular. Well done to the new team and keep up the good work.

It was very quiet in here during our Monday afternoon visit. Note the pub does not open until 4pm on weekdays. The fire was welcoming and there is plenty of bric-a-brac to admire. Not too sure about the music though. It was very loud and a bit too trendy for such an establishment. Beers were much more mainstream when compared to the nearby South Western - Landlord, Summer Lightning, Wainwright, Doom Bar, Swift One & HSB. Worth a try.

Continuing to improve. Friendly with an increasing range of beers.

Now open again with about 5 local ales, now has regular live music.
