I’ve only paid one visit, on a quiet weekday evening, but found it a fairly nondescript pub that was a bit depressing. Only GK IPA available ale wise.

Lovely pub, good mix of people. Really surprised at some of the negative reviews below, as I've always enjoyed it.
Good place to arrange to meet friends if you're in the area.

Visited this pub on Thursday evening, and was quite frankly shocked. The staff were pretty rude, the extra cold beer seemed to be at room temperature, and the glass of wine was corked - was a real hassle getting it replaced. Ordered food which appeared to have come straight from the microwave, and was scorching hot on the outside and cold on the inside. Believe the pub has just changed hands, so maybe teething problems, but definitely one to avoid, especially when there are so many good pubs in the area, like the Packenham Arms or The Wilmington.

Ranges from being well busy to one man and his dog, but a nice little pub, with okay beer and good food. Not sure about the art dotted around, but then i am no expert! Agree that the landlady is well fit, but she did tell me that she is not the landlady!!

Uninspiring Green King establishment. Has had a referb to get the trendies in, not sure if that has worked as it was dead last night. The only beer on was IPA, which even by IPA standards was insipid. Also the missus got a seriously dirty look for the barman when she asked for her vodka and coke in a long glass not a short one. Would help if he’d managed to take both his hands out of his pockets whilst serving, lazy twat.
