| the_pickled_old_man should clear off to some other pub if he doesn't like the "same people talking the same s**t". They're called locals, they're a very friendly bunch, good fun, and they keep the pub going through thick and thin. | Nice little pub in Henfield high street. Excellent choice of food, lovely log fire and cosy in winter. Same people talking the same s**t day in day out, which takes away what could be a very warming atmosphere of a lovely village pub. the_pickled_old_man - 19 Jul 2009 21:47 |
| The atmosphere in this good little pub is much improved since the smoking ban. The cheerful and efficient bar and food service continues. The beer is well kept. For the size of the pub there really is a very good choice of food, 3 menues - tapas/bar, main meal and on the blackboard meals of the day. The food is well prepared, good value, served promptly in homely surroundings. If you like real chips with your meal you will not be disapointed with what is served here. | Can't imagine when Brightonfan7 was in the Plough, but the food is very good. Christmas and New Year was packed out. At 5pm every day, the pub is heaving and, if the regulars have changed, I don't know who they are, because I'e seen the same faces in here year in and year out. | What has happened to this place..... where is the Tapas menu.... Whats happened to the food ..gone downhill.... and what has happened to those buzzing Friday nights of a couple of years ago.
