| I have been to this public house several times and will be taking friends for our Christmas Lunch this year. The food is consistantly good and there is a great wine selection too. | Visited last night. 3 cask beers on, Thwaites, Hydes and Deuchars, all spot on. We then shared an olives, bread and dipping oil starter - excellent, as it well should be. My wife had the Haddock and I had steak pie, both excellent. Service good and not over attentive or "hovering". A Chilean house red was also excellent if a tad pricey. Please do not lower other people to your level, just beacuse you make unfounded claims please do not tar others with the same brush. | saveyourmoney, you're starting to emerge as a somewhat unsavoury character. What was actually wrong with the food ? You also do not "know for a fact" that good reviews have been written by the family. Conclusion, you're either in competition to this pub or just a nasty piece of work.
