| Lively old fashioned Hotel / Pub. The ground floor is given over to three bars (in fact it is only one, but divided into two separate adjoining rooms). The front bar is a general public bar, the back bar is where everybody goes to shout at the horse racing on the telly! The selection of drinks is pretty much what you find in every pub in this area, Murphy's, Guinness, usual array of lagers and ciders, all very well presented. Food is plentiful, cheap, and above all tasty! The landlord could never in this world be anything other than a pub landlord - you only have to look at him to see what I mean. Staff - great, prices and service, ditto. Have also stayed overnight, the rooms are spacious, spotless and comfortable, really good value for money. Mac - 23 May 2005 15:52 |
