user reviews of the Heathside, Burgh Heath

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

It's like being in an airport departure lounge pub. It's full of track suited families from Preston estate shouting 'Harrison, d'you want nuggets?' The sort of place chavs take their mum's on Mother's Day. There's normally a few of the estate's middle aged bully boys drinking in there after never finding another local since that shit hole, the Surrey Yeoman was demolished. If you like microwaved dinners in a Gatwick South Terminal/Crossroads Motel setting, with small time drug dealers nearby, then this is your place.

When last there I asked whether they plan to get real ale. Seems they don't fully appreciate that this is a growth area! Went to the Wetherspoon near Cheam instead.

This pub would be fine if the staff bucked their ideas up. Granted they are mostly youngsters but a few manners wouldnt go amiss !!

It has a slight chavvy atmosphere but having said that , for a cheap meal and drink it isnt too bad.

A hotel-chain pub, ok for a quick bite to eat and a fizzy lager at lunchtime but very little else. Like a Little Chef with booze.
