Beautiful dining room upstairs!

Small single room corner pub with reasonably friendly service. A huge lantern hangs in the centre and dominates. The real ale selection was fairly bog standard - Youngs London Gold, Taylor Landlord, Sharps Doom Bar & St Austell Tribute, on my weekday visit. Was quite busy early evening with commuters who failed to make their tube/bus. But there was nothing to really recommend it.

Deliver London Drinkers here so I thought I should check out the beer. Adnams Extra Special Bitter, Golden Sheep, Youngs London Gold, Spitfire was off. Small and dark downstairs, looked like there was an upstairs bar. Looks ok for central London and a chance of unusual beers.

horrible BO smell. and little character to overcome this.

Always been a tourist trap this one and it remains so. I seem to recall the bar being along the left wall years ago but it's now in the far left corner (and too small!!). Early Saturday afternoon wasn't too bad in here and it was fine for a single pint break from shopping.

I suspect it's a bit of a nightmare on Friday night though.
