This pub has changed hands approx.mid August, and whilst the interior has remained the same - good old fashioned spacious pub + restaurant extension, the food has changed dramatically for the better! From chefs who came and went, with high ideas and a too ambitious menu,. it's now got a Landlord and Landlady who care, and who prepare and cook the food in house. Fresh vegetables, lovely cottage pie were all very tasty, and served with a smile. I'll go back again soon, and I thoruoghly recommend the Crown. colasprite - 11 Sep 2008 19:54
Popped in after our cricket match at nearby Parham House last week. I have visited before and I think there have been a few changes recently and for the better too. Although it's not over inviting from the outside, the pub is quite pleasing on the inside. It caters for the foodies in a restaurant area, which is separated from a drinking area by some steps. This area retains a pubby feel and it extends into another area where you can watch sport on a nice sized TV. My dog was welcome, which is always good for a country pub, and the beer was excellent. The girl behind the bar was great. I didn't eat, but judging by the previous comments, it is worth a visit for that too. I like it when pubs cater for all tastes, and this one certainly does that. If you are visiting Parham House or Park for any of the days out that go on there, you would do well to pop in here for a pint and a bite to eat. flagship - 16 Jun 2008 16:51
Excellent athmosphere, a wide menu to choose from, and well served. Landlord is friendly, and the two pog fires are very inviting in the winter. Quizes on a Sunday. Recommended colasprite - 14 Feb 2008 11:44
We visited this pub on August 07 Bank Holiday Saturday for lunch. It was splendid. The ham, eggs and chips were delicious. The puddings were to die for! I decided on bread and butter pudding for dessert and it was the best I have tasted in years. We shall certainly return. PeterJK49 - 1 Sep 2007 18:02
