| Truly fab pub. Organises several event nights per week - comedy nights most of the year, poker nights, ALWAYS live music every week. Also tend to organise special events (usually free) at bank holiday weekends as well. Just done Rocky Horror pub crawl and the August Christmas crawl. Yes, you DID read that right. Always a very diverse and good natured crowd. One of the busiest venues in Wellinborough at the weekend - and yet no hassle. If you want to meet new folks when it is a little less busy, then midweek might be better to bimble along. Landlords Deb & Nick keep a watchful eye on things - but are great fun, easy going and always up for doing something for laughs. If you haven't tried the 'Shoe on a Friday or Saturday night, some down and join in with some of us regulars. There are some pretty amazing people to meet there - and no "attitude" to spoil things. | This is the best pub in Wellingborough!!! Anything goes from great live music to Naked Rugby Players if you think your pushing it just ask at the bar. Weve had some excellent nights here and the management have put some excellent theme nights from Rocky Horror to Coyote Ugly nights loads of free shooters too(cool)!!! I'd deffinately recommend this pub they seem to have a very large mix of people from the business man to Goths to geeks to the cool. | I've lived in Wellingborough for most of my life and seen this pub change hands many times. Then we met Debbie the landlady and her team of staff who work more as family. They've brought in good pub food, live entertainment on Thursdays and Sundays slowly bringing the bikers back in and created a home from home. Although they haven't been here long I would like to recommend that anyone should drop in and check this pub out for themselves. I think anyone will be pleasently surprised.
