The lack of any ales or bitters warrants a sign outside warding off the unwary... I have friends who would have had heart palpatations faced with that. Settled for a pint of Guiness as options were limited.

Décor... No idea who the Irish guys were or how their interior design skills rated, but they'd be hard pushed to make it much worse. The place doesn't seem to know what it wants to be (pub, restaurant, bar? - hence only fizzy lager pop?).

Friendly staff, if a little slow...

Victorian corner pub which has been given a paint job and had some original features removed, though the heated footrail remains. There are two rooms - one used as a bar, while the other is mainly used as a reasonably priced Thai restaurant. Seating is square pouffes. There's an interesting boar's head gun rack near the fire place. No cask ales offered. Stella Peeterman.

Pretty bar, not quite up-market, not quite down.
Food area seem nice, although the chooice of main bar menu is very standard fare, "Pizza, hand moulded and baked on the premises" seems a bit far fetched.
Amazing breast tattoos on the girl that served me, sorry if I was staring.

The Percy's 'great' I'm a little bias as I worked there last yearand loved it. So what's this supercilious comment? Very different to our Aussie pubs but it has character and so to do the customers 'yikes' some stories. Mik the hat a reguar is worth meeting at any rate. Nice imported beers and a good selection. Keep trying to push those Sunday night DJ sessions, if it could be like it was for the Notting Hill carnival that would be fabulous. Look out for the preist and his double jamisons

Decor is nice, but it will never be up to standards of Aidan and Ronan, Two crazy Irish bastards who were here about ten years ago
