| Called in whilst hiking on the Three Churches Walk. Contemporary decoration in the lounge (nothing too personal or characteristic, very Greene King makeover, but pleasant enough). One guest ale (well kept) and other Greene King staples. Simple pub food (scampi, pasta etc). Neither cheap nor dear. Nicely cooked and friendly service. | Stopped here for lunch today (5.3.05) with a walking group of 7. We were made very welcome and the food and service were good. I enjoyed a great steak and ale suet pudding - just the thing before a walk on a bitterly cold snowy day!
