| we booked a family meal for ten at 8pm on a saturday night they charged us fifty pounds to make the booking on arrival at our table we were told one of the starters was off and to top it off they only had one steak left as the table next to us had ordered three steaks. very bad management to take a booking for ten people and not be able to honour the menu, final note food we did choose was very average. patandlyn - 2 May 2011 11:11 |
| Always made to feel welcome by the staff. lynn the landlady always makes sure there is good music playing which gets everyone singing and creates a good atmosphere! locals seem very nice, never seen any trouble in there. amazing how much food you get for the money. the food specials is wlays changing which is nice to see. apprently quiz night is back on Thursday nights. must go and try sometime. Good place to have lunch and also can be a very good night at the weekends smashing - 21 Jan 2011 16:29 |
| This is my Local and I agree with trose10 the Brakspears Bitter is usually Very Good as is the Pedigree. The staff are excellent too. I and four of my friends ate there on Saturday night and all had an excellent meal (Steaks). I am sure trose10 experience was a one off regarding the food and would urge them to give it another try.
