user reviews of the Newtown Bar, Bo'ness

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Couldn't agree more. I had the misfortune of having my drink stolen by an over-amorous old hag whom I'm assuming is the town bike. When I question this she proceeded to have a swipe at me and by goodness if she hadn't been so drunk she would have taken my head off. The local lads were growling like a pack of slabbering wolves and I felt rather intimidated.

The beer was warm and the only good thing about it was the pickled eggs from the chip shop (The Bo'ness Fryer) next door. I headed down to the social club Fisons thereafter for the Bingo.

nice quiet pub next to bookies does not have much
daily trade, (beer is good though),(when you can get served)strangers not really well liked in this pub and if you are not a regular then you will receive short shrift.(better to get a carry out at the scotmid next door) as they charge edinburgh prices in here priciest pub in bo,ness. weekends are very busy with lots of trouble in and outside the pub with drunks hanging about shoutng and swearing till all hours of the morning take my advice and give this place a by and go to the River View which is just down the road
