| April 2010 This pub is like going to the gunfight at the O.K. Coral. If you like a good punch up on a friday/saturday evening this is the place for you. I have seen good entertainment there but dislike the drunken fist fights later in the evening, the foul language from both men and women, neither being afraid to use bottles as weapons. Even worse is the fact that the landlord/lady encourage scumbags and bullies into their pub probably because they are too scared to stand up to them. | Handy for where I used to work, I got dragged here on too many occasions to remember. And whilst, initially, the slightly grotty ambience, watery beer and faux-gangsters who frequented the pool table of an evening (seriously, there're even some middle-aged twins who stake it out, both in identical raincoats and trying their best to look hard, like less menacing Krays on bouncer duty) made it quirky, I've stayed away for a long time now, because it really is a depressing place to spend an evening.
