| Visited this lovely thatched olde worlde pub today and received a very warm and polite welcome from the barman and an excellent Greene King beer followed by a superb bar meal - the home-made raspberry cheesecake was stunning. Mind your head on the low beams! classic0904 - 22 Apr 2012 17:19 |
| Nice pub shame that the food is not up to the same standard. We had fish which was served raw in the middle. When I complained (bad mistake) the fish came back in tiny pieces as if it had been put into the microwave until it exploded. I later wrote to the pub saying I was not after a free meal but just to let them know what the kitchen staff were up to. I never even got an acknowledgement. souls - 2 Aug 2009 12:22 |
| A lovely thatched Pub, long and low, (very, very low in some rooms) never had the chance to explore it properly, but seems to do a good trade despite being tucked well out of the way, the beer was well kept and the menu looked interesting but alas only time for a swift pint.
