See my comment of Nov. 2010. We've been back today (28th Sept. 2014). Just as good as the last time!

The Racehorse is off the beaten track but well worth finding. Recommended.

Really nice country pub this and so well worth the visit. The landlady, Beryl, is very friendly and seems to want the pub to be a real community affair - there were mums with their toddlers having coffee and juice when I popped in before lunch. I didn't try the ales, but the locally- and freshly-caught fish and chips (cooked by Beryl's husband) were lush and reasonably priced too.

Have to agree with Hops n Malt about the dog too. I don't usually like dogs in pubs but he added to the atmosphere.

Lovely little country Pub set back from the road with a large car park to the front and a beer garden to the side (and rear?).
Inside there are three bars that are not distinctly separate, and there is a (new I think) resturant behind the left hand bar which looks inviting, have'nt tried the food but the beer is good with a choice of two perhaps three real ales.
Be careful not to trip over the Pub laborador who likes to lie in the sun coming through the windows and door in the morning, and you will recieve a lovely welcome from him but he's very friendly and well behaved.
The walls are covered with racing pictures etc. and a massive pike in a glass case. well worth a slight detour off the A12 to Beccles road.
