You could write a book about the history of the Hawley Arms and it's previous name, The Cody Tree. Things are much quieter these days and new faces are showing up. I met the pubs dog (Tia), a little Staffy that had an accident recently but is recovering fast.

Back bar was re-decorated a couple years ago, front bar in is in progress. Fun and light hearted atmosphere on Monday nights when the Pool matches are on. Some good live entertainment being organised. 15th Nov David Hughes & the Ally Cats a Rockabilly Sensation. David is from Kentucky USA.

Try out the music night on the 2nd weds of the month. Bring your guitar or voice or just listen. It's a community jolly. Amateurs generally and completely unplugged. 7.30 - 9.30. Its been going for a year now. Ok for free entertainment.
