| A great pub which is always friendly. One of the few proper pubs remaining in the Farnham area. Guest beers normally available. Food is very good - fish and chips recommended. Lovely landlady and good staff. Pub has regular live music and an excellent open mic normally last Monday in the month. Well worth a visit. potrix - 16 Oct 2014 15:45 |
| Very nice pub located on a main road on the outskirts of Farnham. Visited here one lunchtime with friends for a meal and something to eat. Good selection of ales (at least 3 that I could see) and large food menu including a specials board too. The food was well cooked and generous portions too. The pub seems to be wanting to attract passing trade so there are signs welcoming walkers and dog owners alike. This isn't the liveliest pub that I've been to but if you're looking to grab a nice meal or a swift pint whilst passing by then you could do a lot worse than here. 8/10. wezmiester - 24 Sep 2013 23:43 |

| Having recently been taken over, this pub has huge potential. In an area of discerning clientele a sophisticated styled public house would be descended upon day after day night after night. On my recent visit however, I was disheartened to find the interior looking like a carbon copy of the previous inhabitants efforts. The layout is unfortunate with only a small bar area. Seated in the upper decks one feels a little cut off from any atmosphere. The lighting is unforgiving and the ambience in general is low. Music was played at a later junction perhaps rather too late. The staff very pleasant if not a little young or uneducated in the publican sense. An impressive menu when not sold out of the most popular dishes accompanied by a sad and skeletal wine list. The food looks good but on closer inspection dry and terribly over cooked. Get the basics right and the rest will follow. bourneidentity - 14 Jan 2008 21:22 |
