This place really has fallen apart recently, it's been awful to watch.

In the last few months, so much has changed. The staff (who have been there for years) have completely changed - I didn't recognise one person! The downside to this is there is a generally slow service. This could be down to teething problems, and when I return hopefully the service will be a lot quicker.

The food has maintained a good(ish) standard, but portion sizes have decreased recently and it's a shame considering prices have gone up. There are good deals to be had (the set menus are good) but there is a very limited choice which hasn't changed in many months.

I will be returning soon, but until then I would avoid at all costs. There are many better places in the local area.

Really great pub set in the middle of a village just off the green. They do excellent food (and beer for the husband!). There is something for everyone on the menu (which is seasonal). Service was very friendly and efficient. Can't fault the place and will definitely be returning to try more things on the menu! Ps. they let dogs in to the public bar and you can still eat off the full menu in there :)

I went with a friend to the Grundisburgh dog a couple of weeks ago and the atmosphere was cosy and the food fresh and tasty. I had a main course portion of the field mushroom with hand cut chips and then a bread and butter pudding which was one of the specials. The chips were really good and unlike some pubs (Shannon Inn at Bucklesham) you do not get four pieces of potato stacked on a plate masquerading as hand cut chips, but a proper decent sized portion. I would recommend the GD and I will certainly go again.

We had Sunday lunch here & thoroughly enjoyed it. Not a massive portion of food, but more than adequate, & very well cooked and presented. Had the house wine (reasonably priced), so can't comment on the beer. Decor is typical old village pub, & I wouldn't want that to change.
