| Our Motorcycle club has had two Christmas lunches and two camping weekends(about to have a third) at this marvellous pub. The hosts, Ron and Debbie couldn't do enough for us. | I have to say that I am biased here as the Chequers is one of my regulars. Run by Ron & Deb. for a few years now, when they first arrived Ron went on record as saying that he intended to have a Pub that did food as opposed to a former Pub now Resturant that served beer, He has been true to his word, the beer is always excellent, three or four real ales always available. Mild always available (On draught), not bad for a country pub eh? The food is great and gets better and better from their young team in the kitchen, good fresh food with sensible portions.
