Couldn't fault the pint of Southwold I had when I popped in last week. Very nice !

Well, I was not very impressed with this pub at all bit of a rip off. They have on draught Adnams Sole Star which is one of the breed on lower alcohol beers which are exempt from duty. This was brought in by the government in a bid to allow pubs to sell a 'cheaper' low alcohol beer to try and attract custom. Except where other pubs are charging 2.50 for a pint of Sole Star this pub seems to want to rip off its customers and charge 3.25 a pint! That's 75 pence over the odds, which then beggars the question. If they are prepared to rip their customers off like that on a pint of beer what are they ripping them off on their food and the like?
Sorry I will not be visiting this pub again for drink or food as they obviously have no qualms what they charge their customers.

This is a nice pub with plenty of benches spread along the south-facing exterior for good-weather usage. The service and beer was fine when we visited at Easter.

Excellent pub with good beers (Adnams) and good mix of people - nice to see a village pub doing well in these tough times. Landlady and staff very helpful and friendly - especially the pet 2yo Labrador, Sam.

Rooms exceelnt - large, clean, and with wonderful en suite. Highly recommended as place to stay.

Stopped here after a camping weekend in Dunwich and was delighted to find a cosy pub selling excellent food at very reasonable prices. My ploughman's was delicious and substantial, and the food served with a smile. Highly recommended!
