Doesn't look much from the outside but its a real gem. And not just because of all the WBA memorabilia.

Inside its a main bar with a couple of side rooms. Main room has a wonderful coal burning hearth.

Wye Valley HPA was in absolute perfect condition.

Just wish they'd turn the Chase off on the huge TVs.

Recommended.

Small, but lively pub with a central bar and a couple of hidden corners. It was busy after the West Brom game with one fan insisting on singing football songs and trying to wind up some Villa fans. Ales were Robinsons Dizzy Blonde, Wye Valley HPA & Goffs White Knight. Whilst I preferred the Wheatsheaf over the road, the Old Hop Pole did at least have a more varied ale selection.

Old school boozer with a few just about passable ales on. Wouldn't make a detour to visit.

Can only echo comments by the unusually titled LickeyEndBooze and add that it is a friendly pub with ales £2.80 a pint.

Cracking little community pub. Called in on a "Metro" crawl, at least 3 ales on, all well kept. Nice to see cobs available.....just the job!

Well worth popping into.
