Called in last saturday afternoon. Not too busy. Locals pub. Did have Fullers ESB on which was on form. ng10 - 5 Dec 2011 19:52
Great atmosphere , I am always made welcome when I turn up on my visits to London , I stay at the Trave Lodge across the road and I have never had a bad thing to say about this pub. What you see is what you get , nice pint too. burrows_98 - 23 May 2010 12:16
Popped in here for about ten minutes yesterday early evening and, as was the case for Millay, the clips were turned round on each handpump. And without that, there wasn't too much to recommend this unmodernised local's pub in the badlands between Kings Cross and Exmouth Market. The most noteworthy feature is the fake brickwork which another poster comments on! That and a beer (?) called 'Toby' on tap which looked slightly intriguing, but which I didn't try. grecian - 15 Mar 2009 18:36
Neither handpump had a clip on last night but I was told they haven't stopped serving real ale they just didn't have any. I hope that's right as this place doesn't strike me as a lager pub. Good down to earth boozer full of character and characters. Millay - 14 Feb 2009 18:50
Friendly, typical London boozer with a nice wooden bar and large mirrors (albeit replete with awful stuck-on 1970s fake brickwork). Pint of Landlord on a quiet Sunday early evening was fine. curioushistory - 9 Nov 2008 20:19
