love this pub. My local since August 2011 and I have eaten there about 20 times - the carvery on a Sunday is awesome and the 2 for 1 meal offers are brilliant. Seafood medley, Steak Pie and Beef wellington are my personal favourites but there is shedloads to choose from. Great ales, London Pride and guest ales etc.

Atmosphere is nice, barstaff friendly and service efficient. This is a proper boozer and the best in the area by far.

we visited the olde victoria last weekend for a family meal to celebrate a birthday, the staff made us feel very welcome and the food and drink were reasonably priced. even though the pub was extremely busy we didnt have to wait long.

After years of travelling 16 or so miles for a decent Carvery i was delighted when i came accross this pub.
I visited on Sunday afternoon, it is a lovely pub with a good friendly atmosphere.
There were ample staff to assist whenever needed, they were all helpful & polite. The carvery was good, 3 choices of meat and a great selection of vegetables that were fresh even though we arrived later in the afternoon. ( a problem we had with the pub we used to travel to)
i will definately be returning & am glad to have found a nice carvery so close to home.

The olde victoria is under new management, they are still offering 241 on all the main meals Monday to Saturday along with a carvery on Sundays. The outside area has been all done up with a new decking area outside the front along with new furniture

I ordered a meal there last week, and it came with new potatoes. The majority of the potatoes were rotten and inedible. Nobody came to ask how the food was during the meal, so when my plate was collected (and we still weren't asked if the meal had been satisfactory!) I told the waitress I was not happy with the potatoes. She said she would talk to another member of staff, presumably the manager and get back to me.
Next thing, desserts were dished out and nobody came back to me regarding my meal, I was offered no explanation or apology at all. It may be a small thing, but I paid for food which was sub-standard, not at all what I expected.
Overall, VERY disappointing!!!
