I was so excited when I first came across this! What a shame it has disappointed me - beers not filled to the line even though we were the only ones in the bar, 10% service charge automatically put on our bill for two roasts put in front of us with no cutlery or condiments, strange off-hand staff.... could do miles better!!

Had driven past this place so many times before finally deciding to give it a try 6 months back. Was very glad I popped in. There's a very relaxed atmosphere, it's comfortable and they have a superb range of beers. I liked the place a lot but only stopped for one as I was driving. Decided to go back for a Sunday lunch and my appreciation of the Hideaway bar went up another notch as the food was great. You can tell that the owners are prepared to go that little bit further with effort and quality. You can pay the same for a Sunday lunch in many of the areas other pubs and bars, but here you get real value. Just been back there today and it is still great. Try it.

This place is excellent. Relaxed atmosphere, very friendly staff, and you dont even have to get up to go to the bar.

Its not the place to go if you want a lively bar but if you want to chill out and have decent food and excellent beer then i would highly recommend it.

Do an excellent offer on sundays of if you buy 2 sunday roasts you get a bottle of wine free which was very drinkable.

The friendliness is the best part though, nowhere have i walked in for the second time with a hangover and the barmaid sat me down and brought over a bloody mary, whilst laughing at my sorry state.
