| Bar is nice and traditional with good choice of real ale. Dining area not that nice and food was just edible. Beware of the Veg Roast option on the Sunday lunch menu - its a con! for this, all you get are the vegetables which you would have got with a meat option and NOT, as the menu would have you believe, a veg roast with vegetables. The menu states that all main courses are served with seasonal vegetables - it didn't say that the veg roast option consists just of seasonal vegetables alone! | I visit The Plough now and again, usually to have a meal - the bar staff are friendly and helpful. As mentioned previously, the Black Sheep is excellent, as is the Banks's. The food is above average, fairly priced, and I can recommend the homemade steak pie. 7/10 TazzyBoy - 18 May 2010 13:00 |
| Four standard 'syndicated' beers on offer but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Black Sheep which was eminently drinkable.
