| Nice friendly community local with traditional irish bar and friendly lounge at rear. One Ale on tap - Abbot Ale , very well kept and excellent pint of Guiness. This pub is on the way up at the moment and a real credit to the area. large Garden at the back so cant wait for the summer and perhaps another ale . 8 out of 10 - so far. | This pub has been under new management since Nov 2009. The new landlord has done a fantastic job restoring the pub to it's former glory. Great beer and atmosphere and a warm welcome are always guaranteed at The New Inns. Without a doubt this is the best pub for miles around. It's also great for football and GAA games. Well worth a visit and I guarantee you will return! tfox72 - 10 Sep 2010 09:46 |
| This pub has been under new management for less than a year. If you haventbeen recently GO............Beautifully refurbished without losing its Irish Heart. Outside patio area now lovely - freshly painted and has a contemporary feel outside. The victorian setting is beautiful and new owners have restored sash windows. The pub has a local clientelle - plus GAA for all the matches if you like the hurling. The owners are planning to tidy up a field at the back for more outside events. This is a gem in the heart of Erdington - its Guiness is to die for. Support your local pubs - this one deserves its sucess and is truly worth a visit. danniboy - 15 Aug 2010 21:44 |
| No real ale but oversized pint glasses in use, reasonable beer patio at one side, 4/10 fat_beer_badger - 13 Jul 2010 12:36 |
| Good community pub, with local following - unfortunately, since recently becoming tenancy, prices have gone up (no fault of gaffer - blame grasping pubco's who offer no discounts !!) and a few locals drifted away. anonymous - 24 Mar 2005 09:10 |
