I love this place. Love it. Great surroundings, atmosphere, beer, spirits, and music music music!

Good people seem to come here for a thoroughly good time, and I shall certainly be among them for a long time to come.

But.

(and if this has been corrected, someone please say) the Gents is now a p***-take on the customers. It used to be amusing. Now it's insulting.

I really hope they sort this out before the licencing types get down there and take issue with it. Until then, it loses a point; still a 9 for me though.

I always pop into this place with the wife whenever we're in the area - it's fantastic. We were sat right next to the jukebox (possibly the best jukebox in the world) just having a couple of beers. Nice pint of Guiness and an extensive selection of lagers which pleased my wife (not that she drinks a lot!). I'll definately be coming back.

one of the few proper soho dive bars left. wonderfully scruffy, best jukebox in the west end, potty locals, truly abysmal loos and interesting spanish beers.

the best thing is that it's hidden away just yards from oxford street and can be reached by way of a cheeky side step away from the tourist hoards.

what drinking in soho is really all about.

This is a small Spanish place with two bars that are very relaxed, although it has seen better days and the gent’s toilet is an abomination. This all probably adds to the good atmosphere of the bar as the posers and tossers that frequent most pubs in this area wouldn’t be seen dead in here.

As is to be expected there are all kinds of foreign currency stuck to the walls behind the bar and all the staff that I met were Spanish and very friendly with it. The jukebox has many great tunes on it and the other customers seemed to have the same sort of taste in music as myself which was handy.

There is a selection of premium lagers alongside John Smiths, Guinness and Strongbow.

This is a grubby place, but I thought it had a certain charm and would travel to visit again.

Wonderful dive
Brill juke box
Bring something solid if you are standing outside to batter the taxis with as they hammer down the narrow street.
