Popped in here on a drive out and had lunch. Lovely fish n chips and my wife's scampi was nice too. Not excatly a gastro pub maybe, but good old fashioned food and beautfully cooked. Beer good and my pint of Old Hooky was very well kept. Old gripe was that I had a large glass of white wine and my wife had a small, but there was hardly any difference....except in the price! Recommended!

We called in for and early evening meal and the place was absolutely crowded with rotarians (I think) gathering for some kind of dinner, but we had no trouble getting served and our food arrived promptly. Very good it was too. Can't remember now what I washed it down with but I went back for another so it must've been alright. Don't be put off by the shabby exterior, this is a good pub.

I'm the owner of the Greyhound and would like to apologise to Chocolate Thunder as it appears you have been wrongly charged. Half pints should be charged at half the price of a pint. Apologies again.

Well - I popped in for a quiet pint and really like the place. One pint cost me 3.10. (This is relevant...)

I had things to do, and came back with a mate a couple of hours later. A pint and a half of the same stuff was 6.20.
Now I have a degree in mathematics and so naively was expecting to pay 4.65. I was wrong....
Drink by the pint - not the half pint. They cost the same....

Last reviewed this just as the new managers took over....... they have been in for 6 or so months now and this place has gone from strength to strength. The new owners bend over backwards to support the village, food is lovely and they are even starting to get a decent wine list!
