I can only give this 2 points as having confirmed on their website that they served food on Monday evenings, myself and friends visited the pub, only to be turned away by a really rude barman, who stated they didn't do food on Monday evenings (only for residents). Terrible experience. Shame, as the pub has a great selection of beers and good menu. Therefore the 2 points are for the selection of beers, which we didn't get to taste. danmale - 10 Jan 2012 09:20
Nice pint of Altons Pride last night. Roaring fire on a chilly night, Quiet on the food front . wrinkley - 25 Nov 2010 17:43
The beer was good to great tonight, but the food and service were terrible. The barmaid was left to do food orders, serve food and clear plates as well as looking after the bar, which meant you had to wait for service and drinks. The Pigeon starter had a tough membrane which was very tough to cut through, when advised I was told it was skin and that could not be avoided. Funny but I have had Pigeon breast before without skin and quite often Chicken breast too! WOOTY - 20 Oct 2010 22:34
The White Hart recently was recently awared North Hampshire pub of the year by CAMRA and I have to agree with them the beer is always in excellent condition, the Palmers IPA is perfect. The 56 bus can get you there and back Monday to Saturday morrisminor - 6 Feb 2010 10:52
Dropped in here recently one Sunday afternoon as we were in the area. This is one of those pubs where conversation never stops and everyone looks round and welcomes the strangers walking in, including the barman, who made us feel very welcome. The 4 real ales were in superb condition and realistically priced. We had a superb afternoon, made friends and will certainly be paying many more visits. deepinsight - 1 Feb 2010 20:14
