| In the process of a revival, Ivor and partner have 'retro-d' the decor. It looks again like the local it always should have been. There's a real and caring approach to the wonderfully kept Abbot Ale and Doom Bar (which although local is not a favourite of mine)and a curiosity about alternatives. The only problem is the smoke due to the low ceilings, however come July 1, that goes away, and I would encourage anyone to make it a place to visit at least once if you're in the area. ozlynch - 13 May 2007 12:28 |
| Vastly improved since the demise of the former landlord and the refurbishment in the summer. It's bright lively and cheerful. Very good and well kept real ales, the food is quite outstanding. It will be interesting to see if they can keep it up. alan - 17 Sep 2004 10:09 |
