Small selection af Real Ales. Food good and live music. Very busy on Thursday. Handy for food on the Crawl around Kelham Island area. rpf1955 - 21 Oct 2011 16:47
This pub is not too far from the Kelham Island Tavern, the Fat Cat and the Harlequin. So it fitted in fairly well for our crawl. It wasn't the best of pubs, but was satisfactory. It has a nice location next to the river and we chose to sit outside. The ale range was Empire Dog Days, Anglo Dutch Mid Summer Ale, Raw Anubis Porter, Brew Company Raken Bitter & Hop Ripper IPA & Sheffield Tramlines. Ciders were Westons Old Rosie & Addlestones. Worth a visit if you have the time. blue_scrumpy - 12 Jun 2011 21:36
Contrary to the previous bafflingly petulant and rather ill-informed review, had a very pleasant time overlooking the river watching the mallards raising there large broods . Solid selection of ales and a relaxed open atmosphere and a good spot to end your valley of beer tour on the way back to town. A river collecting the water off the many big hills in Sheffield will never look like a Hampshire trout stream even without the industrial heritage. rabdes - 24 Apr 2011 09:17
Not worth going to for the river. The river is basically a sewer. The local Riversaide Pale Ale is very nice. Slightly on the expensive side. A nice interior. Stay inside and don't stay for more than one. 5 starters for £7 is very good though. RealAleSocietySheffield - 26 Mar 2011 03:41
Recommended for beer. The house beer Riverside Pale is from the local Brew Company. Magnificent Ward's art deco windows. Good old photos of local scenes inside. Terrace alongside the river at the back. hdrawnsley - 18 Jan 2011 19:00
