Ignore the Numchuck below, he she or it obviously owns 'mel's' down the road.

Halfway House - not for me, but it's a damn sight busier than it ever used to be so perhaps Youngs are onto something.

Ah well.

Quite possibly the worst service i've ever had in a pub / bar! Absolutly awful ... if you're gonna have muppets behind the bar i recommend teaching them the menu - and i have never ever waited 45 minutes for bangers and mash (which were awful) but what's worse is waiting another 10 mins before my drinking companion got his food ... (which he also said was crap!)

If you're going to sell Peroni for four quid a pint, you should at least make sure it's in a Peroni pint glass rather than a Fosters one!

Another pub ruined - Mr Lash is spot on with his comments unfortunately, this place is no longer recommended to anyone who likes proper pubs

It’s had a few months to ‘bed in’ now so it’s fair to give it an objective report.

Another proper local boozer ruined by Young’s. Destroyed. A horrible mish mash of crap design in the interior, the beer tastes like water (mainly just lagers now anyway), food is mediocre and LUDICROUSLY expensive, staff are utterly clueless… another one bites the dust. Some sort of wannabe gastro ‘style bar’ crossed (Jeff Goldblum in ‘The Fly’ style) with some Islingtonite numpty’s idea of what an old fashioned pub should be… fails miserably on both counts.

I should have seen this coming, difficult not to be very disappointed by Young’s. Again.
