One of our local favourites, great atmosphere, they sell Hoegaarden which superb and Old Rosie cider, another favourite of mine. They did a complete re-vamp of the pub last year but someone forgot to give the toilets a lick of paint. Quite strange to do the whole pub up and forget the one place where people like a bit of cleanleness. Expensive chips and horrifically priced wine list. jazmincleo - 17 Apr 2008 21:27
Went in and it seemed pretty sound inside. Drinks are quite expensive but there's a very good variety and it caters well for both real ale and lager drinkers. The sofa I sat on was good, although another man said it felt 'like a glove on a chicken's wing'... mat_tyg - 23 Nov 2007 08:00
What a transformation and a very welcome addition to Gosforth's pub options. A wide range of drinks -cracking guest beers, unusual lagers, great wines and even good non alco range with fruit juices, coffees and teas. Blackboards announce a gastro-style menu and the interior could almost be like your dream living room - if only you spent less time in pubs and more time kitting your home out with clever comfy sofas, bespoke lighting and trendy wallpaper! There are a lot of thoughtful and original touches to this pub and a lot of reasons to return! pub_numpty - 20 Jul 2007 15:05
