went here on a thursday night for a quick late drink, never again, the very rude irish manager was on a microphone doing karaoke but spent most of the time sreaming insults at the cutomers, calling people who pay your wages c***s is not my idea of good service yrrag - 14 Nov 2011 12:06
Slow service and a very rude Irish bar manager. The beer garden is good if it's sunny and quiet but this is it's only redeeming feature mikecoxon - 3 Aug 2011 16:43

I once had the dubious pleasure of having to kill half an hour waiting for someone at Canary Wharf and, not knowing the area very well, just happened to see the S&L. I’m not a fan of modern plastic pubs especially when they have a no ale policy for no other obvious reason than they presumably can't be arsed to sell anything that involves making an effort, but needs are needs and I needed a pint. The loud interior (both decor and music) was so painful it drove me to the seats outside where I watched the share prices revolving around the dot matrix on the Reuters building above. My share portfolio went down about £200 in the 20 minutes or so that I sat there but it still wasn’t as painful as the price of the pint of Guiness. I have since discovered a couple of awful bars in the area that are much better than this. RogerB - 27 Dec 2009 08:25
Why does anyone bother with this dreadful place, even Henry Addingtons round the corner is better than this, at least they do decent beers, although as usual in these sorts of places, you have to ask for your pint to be topped up each time!!! bookert - 11 Sep 2009 18:56
