Paid a visit a few weeks ago, as we had also heard that the pub had changed hands, were selling new beers and had a new chef. Sadly, little appeared to have changed. The same few mass produced national cask beers and if anything a more basic pub grub menu (burgers etc) than before. There were only 3 other customers in the pub on a Sun teatime and no one came to serve us so we left and went elsewhere (Riverhead). LittleFamilyFish - 30 Jul 2009 13:44 |
Just recently changed hands again (May 2009). I have heard that it is generally as good as it always was but I haven't been able to go in myself yet. Will post again once I've tried it out over the summer. angelus1981 - 25 May 2009 17:10 |
Friendly pub, lunchtime eating, surrounded by great walking. Beer, Deuchars IPA 4.4% enjoyed by us all. Good menu. pubramblers - 21 Feb 2007 10:51 |
This is also my local pub and would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to eat/drink. The new owners are very welcoming, new menu is good value and from what I've tried very tasty too. Good beer garden to one side too with plenty seating. anonymous - 16 May 2006 11:14 |
