This pub is very close to the Doctors Orders which is a real ale mecca in the form of a beer cafe in a former chemists shop (hence the name).

Advertises cask ales but did not have any on. Everyone seems to be Polish in there.

Now called the New Carrington Inn and has been totally refurbished.
Still has kept much of its character, good beer.

This used to be known as the New Inn in the 90's when I frequented it all to often. Many a characters then, dont know about now. Oh heady days!!!

Another one of my locals when I was at uni.
Cracking place, top ale and really top notch food at dirt cheap prices. Was 2 quid for a quality burger and chips, can't say fairer than that.
Staff were great but locals didn't take to kindly to students, since joining the working world I can kind of see why!!!

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. There is some half-decent draught ale and some friendly staff and punters.
