I was thrown out of this pub for discreetly giving another customer with whom I was chatting, a Green Party newsletter. I explained that I was not leafleting as such - this was a private conversation. I was not disturbing anyone. Not only did the manager ask me to leave, he sent two bouncers over!
Anyone would think I was drunk & disorderly! Since when has it been a crime to pass someone a leaflet? Would the manager have objected had it been about cancer or a Pilates class? Maybe not. I suspect that he wouldn't have objected had it been a BNP leaflet - I have heard that this pub used to be known as the BNP pub. It seems that he objected to the Green Party. One of the bouncers was bewildered.

Don't use this bar to go and watch England during the World Cup! I was there for the game against the USA, and it took over 30 minutes to get served. They only had 3 bar staff on and it was ridiculous - as it took so long, people were buying the pitchers, but they ran out of those after 5 minutes. To top it off, one of the gents toilets was out of order too.
They had months to prepare for it, and failed miserably.

Nice and spacious. Went in on a quiet afternoon but looks like it's a decent place.

This place seems to be a sports pub by day and a trendy bar by night. There is a multitude of plasma screens that were showing the videos that accompany the loud music that was playing during my visit, but there are ads up for football on Sky Sports. There is a dance area that is easily accommodated by this large pub and the lights had been dimmed in the usual club fashion.

I didnt spot any real ale, which is not really surprising, but there is a standard draught selection alongside Peroni and my Guinness was nice enough. The barman was a little full of himself in an uneducated kind of way, but this is no more than I would expect in a place like this.

If I lived locally I would use this pub to watch the football and I would utilise the three pool tables in the back room, but I would leave the weekend nights to the younger crowd.

Great pub with spacious, safe and airy atmosphere - legendary Landlord is always around to ensure the party runs smoothly. All drinks and cocktails you could want with decent pub food by day and hot dogs and pizza by night.
Probably the best pub in N London to watch sport with surround sound and several state of the art big screens and plasmas -awesome.
Saturday `s Band Night is always massive and there`s a really decent games room with immaculate pool tables, plasmas and a good craic to be had.A winner !

I first visited this pub at 14 and have drank here numerous times over the past ten years. About five years ago, I witnessed a man being glassed by a doorman and so never went back. Last friday i returned to meet friends( this was our meeting point), We actually stayed there for a few hours and all i can say is the publicans though all different ages all got on well, the only people who cause trouble here are the security as they are too over powering and this fat man who sat in the corner all night, apparently his the landlord, well the way he spoke to some of the young girls there was menacing and i found him to be quite a bully. If they were my daughters, I'd shoot him.He obviously has issues with his hygiene and mental problems, this is a great pub and the brewery should get rid of him.

Best night to go is Saturday night, great bands playing until the early hours.

Quite a safe pub,if there is trouble you don't know about it.

A bit of an 'old man' pub during the day but comes alive at night.

Fit lass behind the bar, brunette, big boobs... nice.

Fantastic pub, real cosy atmosphere in the arm chair section and party atmosphere by the bar, best of both worlds!

Fun, young staff, a few hotties behind the bar.

Well run, no trouble, friendly door men.

Good food, good drink, nice women, footie, pool what more could a bloke ask for?

Typical of this area. Huge old building - standard in everything from decor to clientele.

Needs bouncers on the door though - seems to be a favourite for the 16 year olds of the area.

The barman had horrific dandruff.

Finished up a Christmas pub crawl here.... Service was very slow, but lots of attractive young ladies, and some nice big sofas to pass out on.... Better than it used to be!
