New landlord (Ben) took the pub over December 2010. Expect more live music and jam sessions. Good luck, I wish him well.

This place is like a fine wine - just gets better and better.

If you like well cellared real ale - give this place a try...

Happened upon this pub when the one we were going to eat at was too full.

We sat outside in blazing sunshine and watched the world go by while supping our drinks and scoffing our excellent sandwiches.

Good value food and friendly staff. Recommended

Subsequently some more visits, all the way from Devon! Same warm greeting, the perfect basic grub in a pub along with the booze component.
I wish I could wear the T shirt,"Support Marcus". He's working hard so DO IT!

What a great surprise to drop into this pub and discover a real gem! The new owner Marcus is a fine man and deserves success. Excellent real ale and I believe that the puds are outstanding so we will certainly be back.

Had a really good night in this pub a few short weeks ago.
It is a proper village pub with a good atmosphere. very traditional. My wife particularly enjoyed the way in which the locals welcomed, what can only be descibed as gentleman of a certain persuasion. At one point we had a morrisey cum boy george look alike and a fat francis rossi, only with more hair hiding in the toilets from a butch lesbian who must have fancied herself as a white Steve Wonder!
The night was rounded off lovely by the novelty of a ginger George Michael-alike being chased by Darth Vader, whose light saber was definitely hiding under his cape
