This pub has been closed for the past 2 years if not longer and the premise's is currently empty as is the O'Reilly's pub next door.

Well I love this place and there's always lovely ladies there at the weekend. I think the drinks are rather cheap and the Saffas are really friendly

This is the pub which finally brought home to me what a vicious sounding language Afrikaans is when shouted.

Full of British sports fans whenever there's a big event on.

just say no, no! just say no!

I was in the place when it was Bad Bobs in 1998, there was this great band with a blonde chick singing. It was quite fun! 10 pounds all you can drink for 3 hours or so!

The Springbok is waiting for its renewal of its late night licence - so not to festive at the moment.

This place is NOT cheap, one of the more expensive pubs in Covent Garden! Not very Friendly either!

Was there on 10-04-2004. Really like what they have done with the place. Much better than Liverpool Street.

Went in recently to watch the England v Sweden game. It was quiet (midweek) but nice. Staff were friendly and food was basic but good. Very big TV screen.

Rumour has it this pub is the new Springbok Bar. Would be interested to see if its as good and as cheap as the last one. And also if the gorgeous tequila girls are still working.

Haven't been for a couple of years but it wasn't that busy then...luckily there were a lot of us and we were all already bladdered so we still had a laff

Visited on 31-10-03 (Friday night). Very quiet. Completely different from 4 years ago when it was heaving by 9pm. Can't believe the change that has taken place in the last few years. Go there if you like a quiet drink with a few friends and listening to a live band. Don't go there if you like busy dancefloors.

Contrary to the number of comments made about this pub, clearly you have all not been in good company, as long as you have a good crowd and love to dance and drink you are guaranteed a good night. Cheesy dancing is quids in!

don't fall for their "as much as you can drink for a fiver" offer. They only have 2 bar staff and you can only get one drink at a time. No rounds, take the bottle back when you've finished to get another! In the alotted time we could only drink about 3 or 4 beers due to the lack of and slowness of staff. To top it all, the beer was out of date and some of us got ill. WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK AND WE ONLY WORK NEXT DOOR! What happened, this used to be a good venue 4-5 years ago, you even had to pay a fiver to get in. Now they'ed have to pay me to go in.

I meant to say amphetamines...or maybe it was ketamine...though there were some particularly horse-like women around that night

Ruby you've given the admission secret away. Damn you man! This place is fantastic if your idea of heaven is dancing shoulder to shoulder with tourist scum whilst gazing lovingly around the worst interiors since Laurence Bowen decided to peddle his trade on national TV. Good only for trying to chat up slappers whose make-up looks as if it has been applied by Stevie Wonder on anphetamines.

Once managed to slip in through the back door via the adjacent pub. Not only did we get in free but the DJ played non-stop classic house tunes from '88- '95.
Bloody marvellous.

Then of course, we went back a year later to find a queue, a bloody queue, at my so-called 'secret entrance', and no-one could prise the locked door open. We all had to pay at the main entrance, and you know what? It was pony.

Had a very drunken St Paddy's in here two years ago. Can't remember a bloody thing but I work up with a giant Guinness stained Guinness hat! Must've been a good night.

Got loads of people down for my birthday - because it was supposed to be 99p a pint until 10pm, as advertised on web site. It wasn't. There wasn't even a pint to be had after 10pm, bottles only. Despite that, Crisis were playing and made the night for us. Best to phone and check the facts next time!

the band crisis is fantastic!! :)

The one time I went there, we thought that it was a pound a pint, but by the time my friend got to the bar we had missed out, as there were so many people trying to get a pint that the time had elapsed. But we ended up getting trolleyed anyway, finishing off with a few rounds of tequila (allegedly). All in all a good night out, albeit expensive. Oh and the live band were very good, playing all the old classics.
