Not much of an ale choice last night (Hobgoblin Gold and Banks's Amber) but we were only there because it was one of the few places around that serves food on a Sunday night and it was perfectly acceptable.

Go on Google streetview and you can see the police making an arrest in the car park. Says it all.

I don't know if there are new licencees at this pub as it has always had great food and service. My wife and myself had meals here today and were extremely disappointed. The sirloin and rump steaks were mostly grisle and really tough and pretty much inedible. They did ask us if all was ok and when my wife mentioned the plates of grisle that were left the girl showed it to someone else and that was it, they never came back to us.
This has been a regular pub for us but we'll never go there again. It's a shame as the pub itself is a nice place to have a drink.

A food orientated pub, not much atmosphere as its such a big place and can be quite empty during the week, much more welcoming at the weekend but gets so busy you may have a wait if you're eating.

Food excellent, beer kept well, staff pleasant and accommodating.

Nice for a family day out but if your'e a drinker there are better places, this pub does what it says on the tin, not one to avoid but also not one to get over excited about.

Pleasant!

Its a big estate pub (although located on a main road) dating from the 1960s. the lounge has been modernised more than once since then but the public bar is a fine example of such bars from that era, if such things are to your taste. Beer has always been OK when I've called.

Glad to say the foods improved and plenty of people eating, less children, perhaps because winter. Thanks to the staff for finding my mrs handbag.

Been a while since I ate here and must say the food is now hit and miss. Beers ok but over run with kids. Still a 241 pub selling Banks.

My local, but we rarely go there. OK if you like big estate pubs full of kids. Good outside play area, and the beer is OK, but the food makes Wetherspoons seem good!

This is a Two for One pub. The food is good ,it can be difficult to get a table on some evenings. The beer and lager are well kept.

Large Banks's roadside pub. friendly landlord, but not a lot of atmosphere.
