A locals pub...pool table, etc...however the beer was well kept and quite reasonable...tried the Shere drop...a local beer...very quaffable...
not bad if you want a quiet pint....if you roll in noisily, then expect hard stares..

Are Jim & Liz still the Landlord and Lady? If so i knew them many years ago when they looked after the Lounge Bar in "The Christopher Hotel" in Eton and the "Park Barn" in Guilford. if not does anyone know where they went to?

I can assure everyone that I would not like to score in here... Hmmmmm scruffy men with smelly facial hair, rotton beers trays and such like... Rarr exceedingly over decorated, almost as if they have something to show off. Rant over, not been there for donkeys years!

Heard someone shout out, 'Get your clothes off!' from this place the other day.
So i get the feeling this place is similiar to about 4 years ago, in which case best avoided.

Went in there a while ago. The beer was good - a lesser known local brew. The decor and the clientele are all ancient. It's very much a locals pub and will be severely affected when the smoking ban comes into force next summer.

Marvellous pub...cheapest pool in Guildford, only 50p a game.

Decent range of beers are available. Only tried this pub once near christmas time, it was rather well decorated - especially on the inside, interesting atmosphere as well.

This pub is a locals pub. The customers and staff seem very reluctant to serve you unless you are with a regular. The pub is also very small and poorly lit.
