One of the better Weatherspoons ive seen, usually cheap priced beer and i went last Saturday lunchtime and was served within 5 mins by a very polite friendly barmaid.overall i would recommend this pub

Amazing!! Very cheap prices, good atmosphere and barmen, and at last a bar where we can talk without this very loud music !!!

Can't complain about the beer, cheap enough service is terrible though and the food is well, CRAP ordered a breakfast on a sunday morning, waited an hour for it to arrive. Toast burnt, mushroom not cooked, eggs the same very very poor, just microwave food. Would have a drink in there again, but i think i will give the food a miss!

Typical Wetherspoons pub.

L A C K S A T M O S P H E R E ! ! ! !

Dirty tables etc etc.

Food fair to middling (and i'm being generous).

During the day, full of the obligatory pissheads, and come the weekend, wall to wall totty.

An ok pub for a quiet drink, but the food is pretty crap, you can tell its probably just freezer stuff, like the lasagnes and shepherds pie. Its cheap enough though.

Reminds me of the plebs dining room at Pontins in Morecambe!

Tried to get a breakfast there one morning and they had no bacon

Looked clean and decent enough. Interior was roomy but less "sterile" than I feared. 3 micro brewery cask ales were on when we were there, in addition to the somewhat less interesting standard cask ales. That's certainly more than you'll find at the average street corner boozer. Small "children's certificate" area, I think you're supposed to have a meal there, we didn't and they said nothing - but then, it was matchday and pubs tend to be more liberal when kids go with their dad for the footie. Like all JDW pubs: The beer is CHEAP!

has the look and feel of a down market working mens club.

Like treking to the south pole for the toilets.

Less atmosphere then the moon.

Its more up market than its sister pub the William Jameson, just a shame that it has very little atmosphere. The only thing that attracts people is the lost cost drinks-I tried to get a sunday dinner here and they had no veg!-and It was a sunday.
