If you like a `real proper pub` this place is for you. There`s nothing touristy about it..Guiness and stew just about sums it up. Not the place to take the missus though..."I couldn`t possibly eat in here!"

Sat at the bar on the ground floor -still the same 'seen it all-but don't quote me' clientele.
Still haven;t found a pub anywhere near here with that same atmosphere-so I'll keep coming

Down at heal - and all the better for it. Old school pub.

Ther ground floor has a 'down at heel' feel, which isn't found much in this part of town. This is seen in both the surroundings and the regfulars-who have the looked of the failed muso about them...Decent atmosphere

Love it. We used to go there many years back and the staff would stick on one of our tapes. Upstairs - got to see Brendan Dempsey, Joe Rooney, Paul Tylak and many others there.

Decent people, decent pints.

Famous comedy club upstairs where fols such as "ardal o hanlon" aka DOUGAL and Ed byrne cut their cloth.. Very much a hip/grunge type crowd.
