Killing a couple of hours in Wycombe on Monday, I was trawling for quiz machines. Passing this one I thought there might be an outside chance (no such luck) but outside there was a sign advertising "Exotic dancers - now on". I thought someone had left it outside from the weekend, but no, there was one girl dancing away at 10 past 3 in the afternoon on a Monday. But here's the rub - there were four customers in the pub and not one of them was watching the dancer. What was the point of it ??

Well from reading all those comments I can see that people haven't been in the Horse recently.
It has toally changed now, they have stopped the underage drinkers and it is now stricly over 18's allowed to drink in there. They have a new gentlemens bar upstairs known as "Bar95" which is lovely and they are currenly renovating the downstairs area.
If you want to go and meet some lovely down to earth poeple go there and you will be made to feel at home they are all lovely from the regulars to the management.
I love it, if you don't like the bands or the feel downstairs then pop upstairs on thursday, friday and saturday from 8pm til 2am.

Take note Gary Glitter and Jonathan Kings of this world, this pub has the repuation of the youngest looking patrons in all of Wycombe (but they are all over 18, allegedly). You know a pub is bad when your 14 year old cousin boasts about going there. Dire beyond description, they have strippers for gods sake. Avoid unless you are a teenage chav.

This pub is great, ive been going ever since i was 14 (yes naughty me) there's always good bands playing and the atmosphere is great. Many cool people go and so making friends is easy. It certainly doesn't deserve its bad reputation

The White Horse has strippers every lunchtime except Sunday and on a Wednesday evening. Usually stunners, nice stage and atmosphere, bar service a little slow: but they do lap dances (for £20) which mnakes up for it. Not far from M40 Jct 4 so worth a visit...

Ah my beloved place of work, started behind the bar at the Horse a couple of days ago and it's the best pub I've EVER worked in. Rock bands, decent beer (and not to expensive for round here i might add ;-) ). And just to expand on what someone previously said, we do indeed have strippers on a saturday, but thier also on most days of the week (their not on on a sunday, and I think on a tuesday, but dont quote me on that one). Also wendesday it's topless pool night :D
I'm easy to spot behind the bar, I'm the skinny guy with the bleeched and green mohawk

its a cool place to go if u like meeting new people and hearing new talent.i go there often and would like to say it ROCKS!check it out.

went there last night to see some local bands play and a group of 14/15 yr olds were playing, absolutly brilliant. best place to see live music and its not as bad as people say, i've been to worse places. i recommend the band nights!!

Often considered to be rough but has always seemed a good pub to me with great music. They used to serve us in there when we were 15 which was nice

A very seedy pub- you can tell it hasn't been cleaned for a long time.
I remember being in there once and a man telling me to put a handful of coppers in a strippers cup because it sounded like you were giving them a lot of money. There weren't even any strippers in there at the time.
Anywho, I digress. The White Horse is fairly friendly, sexy barstaff and a great place to see up and coming music talent.

Definately the best, if not the only, music venue in Wycombe. Incredibly friendly too, I've seen no trouble in there at all. It's being renovated this month, so will be even better soon!
