Great pint of Heineken and good atmosphere. Would definitely call again.

As gazzo4u says, decent food - the steak & Guinness pie is to be recommended - but nothing really on the ale front. Smithwicks or Guinness are the closest you can get.

Food here is good and keenly priced so I visit here quite regularly. The surroundings are nice and the staff usually very helpful. Beer is the only problem as guiness red is the only drink here for me. A choice of some good British real ale would make this a regular place for me, but guiness and lager don't cut it!

The rump steak is excellent value at less that 7; and it is consistantly delicious prime Irish meat. Well cooked wedges, peas and field mushrooms.
As this is less than the price of a takeaway kebab or fish and chips, I eat here after work before commuting home usually before 5pm. On the two occasions that I visited later I felt that I was being watched with suspicion by some of the chavista locals - perhaps because I actually had the nerve to read a book in their pub. You would not want to eat with your family whilst listening to their loud banal utterances, littered with anglo-saxon expletives.

The beer? Well I only drink real ale so my choice was coffee as the only 'bitter' was John Smiths. Yuk! The coffee has been excellent every time.

If you must visit a pub in the centre of Harrow you could do worse. Much, much worse.

meh... never had a good pint in here have to be honest, Bar staff for the most part are usually young students, which I wont gripe about, but! this does ofcourse mean they couldn't give two about the place or the service they provide.
The toilets, well lets just say I wouldn't let my dog go in there.
Problem is its in a pretty good location, its a fair size and for the most part the people on a good night create a good atomsphere, its just incredibly let down by the fact its a massive chain pub and no-one working there seems to give a flying f@&k about it...
may have changed though not sure because I have stopped going there.

I love this pub, when there is sport on it's worth going just to listen to the landlords banter with the locals, its hilarious! The food is also really nice and good atmosphere where as some of the others near by are a bit boring. I like the new pear cider they have also and the locals are really freindly in there. I will go again when in harrow, its the best pub there.

The women in this pub are ugly dogs!

Staff are OK, and pub is OK for watching football on a Sunday afternoon, but men's toilets are an absolute disgrace. I used to eat here (meals decent and reasonably priced)until I used the toilet for the first time. If the toilets are this dirty and disgusting (dried excrement all over one of the toilets that was still there a week later...and probably still there), then I have doubts about cleanliness in the kitchens.
I now stick to watching the football and give the food a miss.

Very young drunken crowd, music rubbish. Bar staff ok - not enough of them on a Saturday night. Toilets crap. Would not go back.
Sharon1 - 28 May 2007 08:18
Visited here last Saturday with a group of girlies. What was previously a busy, slightly grotty pub with fab music has been replaced by a half empty, more grotty pub with terrible music. Fine if you like chart dance or obscure hiphop and don't mind having to fight your way through the groping throng to the frankly abysmal toilets. Bar staff doing their best - good on them! Only go if your other option is the Fat Controller.
Vorlina - 9 Jan 2007 15:44
My first visit here. Only went in because other people I was with wanted to. A typical O'Neill's boozer. I thought I'd have to choose Guinness or cider until I spied the bottled ales in the beer cooler. However, they were all far too cold and it tasted like flat lager. Won't be going there again if I can help it.
Mystery_Shopper - 21 Dec 2006 15:03
Pub itself was nice as was the food - but the toilets!!!. In common with a lot of pubs in this area they were the pits!!!
ggwillym - 18 Jul 2006 17:45
Can take a while to get served but prices OK and friendly staff. Decent crowd but as ever too many blokes. Late licence a bonus. Very very smoky.
barnetblackdog - 16 Feb 2006 18:59
I'm an idiot. Watch me drink. A thousand "Failte's" for a thousand beered-up pr*cks
mikez - 13 Dec 2005 16:02
O'Neills in Harrow has recently been done up and it is slightly more spacious. Still mad busy on a Friday night. But got served quickly which always a plus and the music and atmosphere was good.
diceysgirl - 6 Nov 2005 17:47
Ok for headbangers. to noisy to smokey. no real ale Never again
lordgreenhill - 3 Aug 2005 13:22

Absolutely brilliant night out here guaranteed! great staff, great people and great music! Dj's are fab playing all time classics. Had a really good night out there recently and will be going again. (was surprised to be queueing to get in at 10.30 though) but it just shows why!
anonymous - 10 Apr 2005 21:17
Not to bad. Good crowd, i go here or Oscars
pubcrawler1979 - 25 Dec 2004 22:39
On the weekends it's more of a club than pub. Great if you dont mind standing up, getting sweaty and going deaf.
I suggest buying 2 or 3 pints for yourself at a time, as the bar gets damn crowded!
Scott - 1 Oct 2004 06:02
I always enjoy O'Neills because of the sexy grey haired guy who i believe goes by the name of Jonno. Great atmosphere and people as well. ps hello Andy (DJ)
Clare. - 28 Sep 2004 17:09

O'Neills is still a great place to come even though the sexy threesome have temporarily left. still got johno to look at!! hey andros why dont you make yourself known to the three girls. you never know they might find you tasty aswell....
sunnys angels - 23 Sep 2004 23:25
Totally wicked nite out, top music and great people - especially the sexy girls behind the bar!! I'd recommed this pub to everyone!
Mike - 19 Sep 2004 13:03
Just got back from a night out, the talent are GORGEOUS, Specially these three girls that are in there every Saturday night!

Also has it's fair share of fit female barmaids, and the blokes are top geezers also though a bit to much bum slapping behind the bar!!

Peace out Homeskillets!
Andros - 19 Sep 2004 04:40
great music, atmosphere and drink offers, i've never left this place sober. I'm thrilled that darren is now acting manager because it means i get to see more of his gorgeous face. Can't wait for his girlfriend to find a new job!
Miss Jayne Hargreaves - 12 Sep 2004 14:49
This has to be the BEST pub in harrow. Great music and v.sexy barmen... not mentioning any names- Mark, Hamish, Andrew. We always have a night to remember... bit of a struggle to remember sometimes but we get there in the end. normally get the dodgey flashbacks!! would reccomend this pub to anyone. dont waste your money going to watford. got to give it a big 10/10 how bout that loyalty card now john???
Cat Caz and Claire - 10 Sep 2004 22:52
Always a gathering place for our crowd. Great atmosphere but recently gutted as they have stopped selling cafreys!!!!!!
Kev Cox - 6 Sep 2004 11:39
Not a bad place to pull as the talent is good. Youngish crowd, well run bar, staff quite good really.
John - 19 Aug 2004 21:36
The ONLY place to be in Harrow on a Friday or Saturday night. The bar staff are the best I've ever seen (and I used to be a mystery shopper). The bands are gone, but the dj's are friendly, and play some stuff that you won't have heard for years. Get a JD and Coke ready for me if you go in there :-)
Jon - 2 Jun 2004 00:56
not bad! Good service even when packed, live sport good four screens now, no trouble-rare for Harrow.
john - 5 May 2004 16:45
Always get very smashed when i go there so must be doing something right! Good crowd,o.k. beer and music for all tastes. Would recommend it,but can't remember it in the morning!
Greg - 1 Mar 2004 20:06
great venue for getting hammered, you rarely go in here for just a couple. who is that huge bloke who drinks in there and sometimes wears guinness hats?
Matt - 25 Jan 2004 10:35
Not impressed at all, Smokey as h..., service OK but missed 2 drinks.
Too many kids under 18, 17, 16 ...
BC - 20 Jan 2004 11:49
It's weird the different way people see this pub - I'd say that it has always had a super women:men ratio! If you're a child of the rock 80s, you will love the music here. Does get horrendously smokey though.
DBD - should have known!
Vorlina - 20 Jan 2004 11:39
THE place to go in harrow. the woman to bloke ratio has gone VERY downhill over the last few years but still one of the only places in harrow that doesnt attract a bad crowd. VERY friendly bar staff and open til late at the weekends.
never been offered an umbrella though! that must have been a one off i guess....
MrShankly - 25 Dec 2003 16:37
Whole heartedly agree with that sexiest bar staff comment. Well, the ladies anyway, can't vouche for the blokes obviously. Still a great place and now with live sport as well. Roll on Friday night! xx
DBDave - 21 Nov 2003 13:49
I have been a couple of times, its quite goodquiz on a Tuesday very good fun and free to enter and the bar staff are the sexiest in Harrow!
robbie - 24 Sep 2003 13:59
This lively bar is a fun location for a night out on the tiles, an electric atmosphere with friendly, lively staff and a very sexy Assistant Manager !!
Live bands, DJ's, Live Sport ..
britney - 23 Sep 2003 12:25
Excellent atmosphere great staff, really care about their customers, extra touches eg roast potatoes during football, umbrellas for those queuing in the rain, not everyone's going to be happy but me and my friends think it's great!!!!
John - 18 Sep 2003 16:49
Fantastic night out....maybe not to everyones tatse...Arrive before 9.30 to avoid potential queues. Live band Friday nights, DJ's on Saturday nights always spin some great tunes. Fantatic and friendly bar staff, be nice to them.
DBDave - 8 Jul 2003 22:46
Impolite staff , complained to manager (JOYCE) who was most unhelpful left without paying for drinks DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!
